Pune and Gurgaon simply operate as satellites for the Mumbai office mandates; Pune being more TMT and contractual heavy outsourced work, while Gurgaon being M&A and PE work. Mumbai is now the place where actual dealmaking takes place and also hosts multiple rainmakers at the top.
Pune and Gurugram operate as back offices. Mumbai serves as the firm's main office pursuant to the past few year trends.
My firm routinely faces D&D in many transactions and my experience sitting across JD from D&D's Gurugram office was a nightmare. That being said, the Mumbai partners like NT and MW were nimble in their approach and wonderful with their work. So my cursory overview would be to stick with the Mumbai office. Thanks.
