Hi, I might be getting a job at a boutique law firm. Given the economy, I have been told to take that instead of any other tier firm job because tiered law firms are almost done with hiring. They were done a year ago. So, I was told that gain the 1-2 PQE and make the lateral shift.
How do I laterally shift from boutique to tier-1/2/3 law firms? I recently saw one of the headhuntersβ post - it said the applicant must be from a βT-1/2 law firmβ. Thus, how can one even laterally shift from a boutique law firm due to such restrictions being imposed? Please help me out.
Hoping for answers from people who shifted from boutique to tier-1/2/3 law firms. Your help will be sincerely appreciated a lot. Please help.
It depends on area of practice but people often shift from boutique firm to Tiered firms. Check about past associates of the firm and where all they moved.
