Does nobody else find it a bit concerning that these awards that are handed out to lawyers, like 40 under 40, etc. have the same law firm to which these lawyers belong, as sponsors or the law firm MP being a jury member. If not that, it would often involve the jury member from the Firm giving the award to a client to keep them happy. A bit of conflict of interest?

That's why these awards will probably never match up to the kinds of Chambers, IBLJ, etc, which are comparatively more objective.
IFLR1000 and Legal500 circulate bids for everything; Chambers and Partners holds more substance in this regard since its more deal disclosure and client feedback. Nobody cares about BW and IBLJ anyways.
Sab paise ka khel hai.

Everything is PR.

This is embarrassing par duniya ab iss he direction me ja Rahi hai. Award le lo aur phir linkedin pe 'honoured' aur 'humbled' ho jao.
Each annual subscription comes with the opportunity to "nominate" certain number of people from your firm based on package you buy. Now no one really pays just to be nominee right?
