Advocate Ashish Goel (NUJS batch??) put out a tweet on supreme court after the controversial article 370 judgment in favor of Modi government. According to him, Indian supreme court has delivered all important judgments (such as Aadhaar, Ayodhya, demonetization) in favor of Modi government. He even suggested the supreme court is like a "Saffron Court". And guess what? He got massively trolled by RW with name-calling, verbal abuse, and contempt threats! There are also controversial tweets from NLSIU alumni Tarun Khaitan (a LSE professor) and Vakasha Sachdeva (a journalist). Now the question is why are people so intolerant of views? People don't mind when regressive, controversial views come from the likes of J Sai Deepak? He has written two large volumes of that! And why don't we see more people from top national law schools coming out and showing the supreme court a mirror? Have NLUs become a hub for BJP and the RSS? Other controversial matters are pending before the supreme court such as electoral bonds and CAA. Will these cases also be decided in favor of Modi government? Public perception of independence is no longer important? If this continues, Modi is all set to win 2024 elections with a huge margin of votes with Ram Mandir inauguration in January!
True. "Why are people so intolerant of views" that they label views contrary to theirs as "regressive, controversial"?
He has already won. He knows religion is the biggest business in India, he won the moment ram mandir judgement was passed.
OP is trying to be too clever for his own good. May I remind you that many RW people have been abused? For example, Aishwarya Mudgil, a girl from NUJS 2017 batch who tweets in favour of BJP and often comes on TV debates, has faced many misogynistic comments.
It did not happen if you do not share evidence. And what do you expect to get if you go to Republic TV for a debate? Everything there is a mud fight. So you are voluntarily asking for it by taking part in the debate!
Ashish Goel is totally biased. Always tweets in favour of Congress. He used to tweet intelligently when he started, now he has become a Dhruv Rathee type bigmouth.
