I hate(d) capital markets and don't wish it upon anyone, especially fresh law students. But, now that I am a senior associate at one of the Lower Parel firms, I look forward to the IPO listing ceremonies knowing that the dirty and mind numbing work can be taken care by the associates and interns haha.
Its terrible at the big firms for the following reasons:

1) You have to work on Excel and will be sometimes required to make PPTs, unlike other practices.

2) Work at the junior levels is only diligence and no exposure/very less exposure to drafting stuff.

3) Tighter deal deadlines with very less bonuses as compared to other teams like B&F and M&A.
