Can someone throw some light on the real estate teams at firms? What does the work entail? and are they as fruitful as the other teams?
DO YOU YOU NEED TO KNOW LOCAL LANGUAGES TO BE REAL ESTATE LAWYER (E.G Hindi in Delhi, Kannad in Bangalore) or is it just English as used by all other teams
at an intern level, work is as dirty as capital markets. Making requisition checklists, preparing title due diligence reports and using Google Lens to translate lengthy documents (of Kannada, Telugu, Marathi and Hindi and retyping it in English). Rethink this kind of work and ask yourself - "do I see myself doing this kind of work all my life?"
Yes. Otherwise you won't be able to do good work. In bangalore for example you have to know kannad. In Mumbai you can survive with hindi but marathi is a bonus for real estate teams.
Agree - but request to our non- South Indian friends, please spell and call it Kannada (like the nada of Canada) and not Kannad.

It’s like calling Hindi Hind. -.-
