How is Nirma University with regard to placements and in general sense? Is it worth moving out of tier 2/3 home state to study here? How is the teaching, peer group, academics, internship cell, extracurriculars ? Whatever you may have to say is helpful, thanks!
I would strongly advise against it.

Academics quality is low due to good faculties leaving and the ones that remain simply do not care about what they’re teaching. So, learning at Nirma is 2/10. (2 for a few faculties who spend effort)

Placements are at an all time low. Only 20 students have a job right now (4 PPOs and others Campus placements below 9LPA). The placement committee does not function properly and not even a good T3 firm visited this year. Placements are 1/10.

Internship cell does not exist. Student find their own way out. 0/10.

Extra-curricular are great but that’s because of students’ individual effort. The college helps very little in promoting and supporting moot, debate, adr (no exemptions, no mentors, etc).

Extra-curricular 7/10. (Student efforts)

The other cons are as follows-

- 85% attendance rule. 70% is necessary by hook or crook.

- Increasing batch size for freshers and lowering of quality of batches.

- Not helpful with running internships and giving exemptions for even assessment internships.

- No MOUs, no contacts with firms.
