IN US and UK you have quite a few lawyers as billionaires. But here in India- OH BOY!
Not surprising. As you can see from the list, the only way to reach that level of wealth is entrepreneurship/starting a business (or inheriting one of course). No famous Senior Advocate is going to be a billionaire - there are only 24 hours in a day and you cannot scale your income sufficiently no matter what your hourly rate or per hearing rate is.

Law firm owners ARE entrepreneurs and business owners, but a) such businesses are difficult to scale because you are still selling time which is limited, even if you are selling associates time and b) law firms are pretty small businesses anyway in the scale of things. Even the largest law firms will barely qualify as medium sized companies by number of employees.
good analysis, people should stop believing sky is the limit in law. the limit very well exists and will always do. law is great as the second best form of success in life. the best will always own big businesses
