How is the above comment trollish mods? NIRF ranking is used to identify the best institutions and it’s the only ranking framework in India and NLIU’s rank is a fact and so is GNLU’s being the superior institution in every aspect.
They left out NLUD. Should be 2 or 3. Also, the ranking should read GNLU>JGLS>NLIU. And HNLU should be much lower and RGNUL higher. NUJS BSc LLB should be higher than HNLU but lower than RGNUL.
NLUD should be between 1-3, based on personal preference of aspirants. But, this list is for the CLAT form preferences only. AILET and JGLS won't be covered for obvious reasons.
They will include NLUD when it joins CLAT. If you could read properly, then you would have realised that this is list of CLAT preferences. That's why JGLS is not there either.
It does not make any sense to give different rankings to different programmes in the same university so long as they are being taught by the same faculty and the students have equal access to all resources. It's not that BA LLB alum won't consider BBA LLB or BSc LLB as their juniors or would refuse to help them.
With 300 batch strength, NLS should no longer be an automatic choice of all top rankers regardless of its institutional record. The reason is that the institute can't give the same opportunity to all these students no matter how good they are. For example, around 20 students from each batch get top mooting opportunities. Even if there are 50 good mooters in the batch. Exposure wise, the opportunities available, jobs, internships available will be better to rank 1-10 of other NLUs than rank 150 plus NLS students.
Seems, MNLU Mumbai however is placed too high. The Mumbai location preference is irrelevant for it due to attendance issues it just cannot compare with the freedom which GLC PGCL JCCL provides, due to this placements aren't great either. I'd definitely put it wayy below wbnujs
The reason they chose to prioritise NLIU over GNLU is that LE is from Bhopal, and a majority of their students also hail from Bhopal. Harsh being an alumnus, has a clear bias. The decision to rank NLUJ above GNLU is even more baffling, considering NLUJ has no Rhodes Scholars and their placements this year have been abysmal, though GNLU also had a bad year in terms of placements. It's high time we disregard LE's biased ranking list. They do not consult students who are already attending these colleges. Also, let's emphasise once again that your stream is irrelevant. Nobody cares about your stream as long as you're sitting in Day Zero alongside your batchmates.

Bro, I am from NUJS. I have got nothing to do with GNLU but then, I don't want students to suffer. Keeping all things in consideration, GNLU is better compared to NLUJ or NLIU..
Since when are these coaching centres the decision makers for which law school is good for you? They are run by failed lawyers who couldn't do anything with their law degrees or education. Nor do they have any idea about most of these universities that they rank. In fact, they are currently running after many of these places to jointly start offering courses on PPP model, in another effort to scam students who can't crack CLAT.
Since the Mod is from NLS, this gets marked trollish. However, the comment referring casually to other NLUs as tier 2, 3, 4 etc. doesn't. Incredible LI.

There are many ranking frameworks in India, i feel sorry for anyone who decides which college to go to on the basis of NIRF ranking.
Also I guess its time to replace NLS with NALSAR and NUJS.
