Definitely a niche area, only a few firms are doing purely insolvency work. Disputes will give you a much wider pool of firms to work at.

Insolvency and restructuring is not niche. In fact I see it the most sought after practice area after Competition and M&A. Given the smaller demand, I believe it is already getting a bit overcrowded with Insolvency Law.
