Hi, there is a pattern in my college's placements (not PPOs) where even if one has a CV tailored towards M&A, the only available option is Gen Corp (not Gen Corp and M&A). Now this is true not only for one batch, but every batch that has graduated. Is this normal for all NLUs? Or am I just stupid to think that M&A and Gen Corp are separate teams?
Please bear in mind that I'm only talking about Tier 1 law firms. Firms like IndusLaw have just the transactions team, so no confusion there.
