The job description and the current govt makes the job sound pretty intriguing. Is anyone aware of what exactly will the job entail, how much is the in hand salary, the perks (if any) and how the overall experience is? The applications are being accepted through UPSC website for only 3 general seats. The exam process will be one prelim test and then an interview. Is the interview process fair? Basically is it worth to spend a couple of months preparing for the exam?

Definitely worth it, but just 3 general seats???.
