Can people let me know why is the appraisal period Jan-Dec when the promotions and bands of associates (A1-2-3) are announced and payscale change and bonus is announced in April.
So when does the change in scale actually kick in because of jan-dec appraisal period and what should be specifically kept in mind?
Because for the Jan Dec Bonus they can make you wait till March 31 and for the increment arrears which are announced on March 31 they can make you wait till July end.
Promotion kicks in on 31 March itself. The incremental salary will start from July retainer fee onwards along with the arrears from April to June.
Also, revised salary is effective from April 1, but paid out at the end of july along with July retainer fee and arrears of April, May and June. So if you get bumped up from ₹1.3 L to ₹ 1.5L on march 31, you'll get ₹ 1.5 L (less TDS) on or around say July 30, along with ₹ 60k (less TDS) on or around July 30.

When are we intimated of our revised salary in January or in march/april. Ik it will be effective from july but please answer the former part.
At times salary is revised upon completion of probation provided you negotiate that prior to joining (for laterals).
