Do law firms compulsorily ask their freshers to use the laptops given by the firm, or do you have the option to use our own laptops (there is a legally India thread about it, but it is quite old now, need to know about the latest scenario).

Alternatively, what all firms provide laptops to their A0s.

Alternatively*2, is it suggested to buy a new fancy laptop in the final year of your law school, or get the old one repaired and try to use it for next one year.
You do not need a personal laptop for your firm work. Since in most T1 firms, you’d be working more than 10 hrs a day and at least half the weekends, you won’t really use your personal laptop a lot either.

You can easily use your old personal laptop at least for the first 3 years into the profession, by when you would learn time management better and start getting some free time to start using your personal laptop for recreation.
In addition, what is the policy of tier-1 firms on cellphones. Do they provide one or do we have to use our own? Asking because have seen most firm guys walking with 2 phones at Parel
Bharucha does, don't know about others. Also are paralegal given all that as well?
cam gives you a laptop (Lenovo L14) and also lets you use your personal laptops

you have to use your own cellphones and the firm pays for your data/wifi charges
