Would like to know what is it with KPMSOL, its placements, prospects and its student life.
Any insider to give me insights? Also how does the Industry perceive it, is it even worth the hefty fees? classes in one floor, no campus or college life.
They have one floor for classrooms, huge batchsize, hefty fees, no facilities, not a very useful placement cell. Would make sense to opt for GLC Mumbai over this. Oh, the strict attendance policy of 80%.
There’s nothing. PGCL’s on the same floor, costs 1/10th, and has everything better. Better professors, better reputation, better placements. Huge batch size with close to zero placements through the placement cell. Finally got our own class after 4 years. Professors haven’t practised, most aren’t even specialised in what they teach but are forced to. Attendance is a hard & fast rule, no relaxation for internships. No support for mooting, don’t even give us the dates of our exams to ensure they don’t clash. No class for virtual moot. Was reprimanded because I was 5 minutes late to the exams because of my moot. The classes are filled with wealthy kids of businessmen who don’t even want to practise law, you can imagine how the culture is.

It’s funny because you’d expect a university which is so academics & attendance oriented to have good academics.
Hi OP here,

How is 2024 & 2025 batch otherwise? when it comes to placements, of course not through the PC. I understand majority come from bg where they don't gotta work. But otherwise, how are the internships & placements..Why are the PC stats not even updated post 2018? Considering the exorbitant fees taken, I genuinely don't see anything substantial being offered...

No resistance from students either.
They aren’t updated because they’re non-existent. One of our Placement Co-ordinators sadly passed away during COVID and the entire committee was dissolved. We didn’t have a PC for a couple of years. It was revived last year with new executives that are working to get us internships at T2/3 law firms and other management firms that have legal work. However, the batch size being 300-500 is an issue because the total opportunities don’t exceed 20-30. Placements isn’t that great BUT the smart kids have all secured jobs at T1/Boutique firms. Students are interning at T1/2s on their own through contacts and otherwise. Overall the college’s reputation is alright considering the NMIMS university tag. Everyone just attaches the MBA college reputation to us as well. Difficult for average and below average students to get placed, if they get placed at all.
It was already bad, just keeps getting worse. Not worth your time or money. Awful admin, underqualified profs who just read off slides, bad crowd
