Compare the alumni base of IITB and NLUs, there is hell and heaven difference. NLS has started receiving some alumni grants but it's tough to compare it with IITB cuz IITB was established in 1958.
Further, IITB has produced professionals who are best in the world in their field. NLS or any other NLU has not really done that much.
The sad part is that Indian big lawyers prefer to donate to Jiggles or foreign Universities instead of law universities in the country. This mindset needs to change
Obvious question to ask is why NLU alum are not similarly donating. Those earning 5 cr a month as Senior Advocates can easily donate Rs 10 cr each.
