Gen X: Vikramjeet Banerjee from NLSIU appointed ASG by BJP. Probably highest ranking NLU grad in politics so far. Brijesh Kalappa from NLSIU quits Congress after being ignored in the party, rumoured to be joining AAP.

Gen Y: Jaiveer Shergill from NUJS sensationally quit the Congress after a long stint, rumoured to be in touch with both BJP and AAP. Avni Bansal from HNLU is Youth Congress spokesperson, but doesnโ€™t seem to be getting much clout within the party. Mohammad Ali Khan from NUJS (from a Congress family) joined Congress and got appointed as Additional Advocate General of Chhattisgarh, but since then seems to have retreated and went for an LLM abroad Loknath Chatterjee from NUJS got a BJP Vidhan Sabha election ticket in the Bengal elections (probably only NLU grad to have got this far) but he lost badly and doesnโ€™t seem to have a prominent position now.

So overall, would it be fair to say that NLU drugs have not had much success in politics so far? That DU grads are doing far, far better?
Clarification: Muhammad Ali Khan returned to India soon after the completion of his LLM at Cambridge. He has now been appointed Additional Advocate General of Karnataka and continues to advise the INC on all legal matters.
