There is no age bar to learn and practise law. But how effectively a first generation lawyer with no connections, especially a woman graduating at 37 will find a second career in litigation? I am not aiming to earn a lot of money immediately, just enough to cover very basic food and rental needs. I just want to learn, go through the process of litigation and establish a career. Is it possible or too difficult? Will be end up being unemployed and unemployable after passing out? I have previous experience in both in corporate (as programmer) and social sector (as social worker) with a career break of 2 years in between. I am so scared. Being enrolled during pandemic meant that most of the internships are only online. And couldn't afford that many internships like the younger lot. I really do want to practise law. Can someone share their experience if they have done it as older graduate? what are my options.
