Here is what I wish to give
A sketchy account of my life as a judge which I feel competent to mention,
Like any other Judge I also worked hard without fear or favour with utmost devotion,
However, this being a noble profession I assiduously always performed with zeal of a mission.
Yet I had my share of myriad patchy occasions that bartered my mental peace with undue tension,
Though lawyers & judges happen to be twin equal partners in nurturing this profession,
Their endeavors & efforts are seldom rewarded by the dispensation in equal proportion.
While sky is the limit for a lawyer to earn name and fame in this learned profession,
A judge being a salaried official barely finds such a vast scope to reach acme of his satisfaction.
One has to often grudgingly countenance a situation where less competent being preferred for promotion,
And deserving, competent persons deliberately harassed for no ostensible cause or reason.
But I can nevertheless proudly say that despite all these pit falls & oddities of this profession,
I stand immensely benefited from members of Bar mostly consisting of persons of great scholarship & erudition.
However on the flipside, let one also admit, there was always noticeable a sprinkling of lawyers quite quarrelsome.
Having played my innings when I called it a day a few years back it was a good riddance from such tension,
It is another matter that mired in the bureaucratic wrangles as it is, I have yet to get my full pension.

Even in higher courts, one cannot help but remember AN Ray becoming the CJI or Justice Lala being transferred from Cal. HC when he stood up for the right cause. One of my professors who is now a district judge told me similar stories like yours. And unfortunately, some lawyers do not know how to behave with dignity and some judges lose control over their courtrooms as politically well connected senior lawyers misbehave and even threaten the bench.
Had the judges been given better power for peace of mind, like appointment for life and no transfer beyond own circuit, then things may have had been slightly better. Many good lawyers do not apply for the judicial services on account of the situation.
Nevertheless, let us not lose heart. While the country may not have done much for you, you definitely seem to have done your bit for the country. I am sure that itself is a rewarding experience and a source of comfort and pride.
Jai Hind.
our society infact need people like you... Your competence and experience is a treasure which you have.. Please share your knowledge for the benefit of needy and to awake the sleepy government...
As I embarked on writing my last blog giving vent to my pent up sentiments & emotions,
I had no fair idea about its fate & how much would it evoke worthy reader's reaction,
The huge response that it received has however gone much beyond my imagination.
I can't say how much overwhelmed I feel today with a sense of rare happiness & jubilation,
I express my heartiest gratitude to all those who have bestowed on me their love & affection,
And I profusely thank them all for their inspiring comments & valuable suggestions,
May I continue to get unabated their kind love, affection, guidance and inspiration,
I would always cherish these precious happy moments as my life's proud possession,
which would always beckon me to work still harder to come upto their expectation.
Thanks.
if honest judges dont even get their pension...then perhaps we are not worthy of justice
