I will be joining a T1 firm in a few months. Just wanted to know if the firms give joining bonus to upcoming associates for settling in the new city, rent, etc. What are other perks?

Few firms do that. Students who are new to the city need money for renting, furniture, formal clothes and shoes, travelling expenditure, etc. Hence, a few firma provide, it's good to see associates getting some basic level of dignity.
