Pradeep Dey, Sr. Advocate is just about the best lawyer for this, but unfortunately not "popular" in today's sense. If you want an acquittal, he may be the guy. Well known amongst the Delhi HC bench as well.
For HC, you don't need 15L per hearing, to be honest.
Keep in mind, a lot of criminal law advocates practicing in HC do not specialise in bodily injury crimes. White collar crimes, sure, but nothing like murder.
There are a lot of renowned lawyers I've seen who, frankly, have glanced over finer points of trial/evidence/facts and have focussed only on what the SC has said on interpretation of one phrase. Both aspects are important. Especially in a murder case.
For something like this, I'd recommend Sidharth Luthra or Rebecca John.
If your briefing counsel is also someone who specialises in murder/bodily injury crimes, it would definitely be better. Rajiv Mohan comes to mind. PK Dubey also - but he has become a senior two years ago.
How do you even get a wrongful conviction lmao? It's barely any work to even get bails and acquittal are common due go the standard of proof and police shitting the case. Maybe sue the trial judge lol
Ever heard of the Aarushi Talwar case? Please read the book Aarushi by Avirook Talwar - he provides a good explanation of how a wrongful conviction happened in that case.
If its the HC, Rebecca John, Ramesh Gupta, Tanveer Ahmed Mir, and Mohit Mathur (in that order) hold great face value and are really good at criminal trials.
These would also cost you much less than 15L per appearance.
Let's share pen names and emails, what say?

To the mods:
This is not trolling, his YT could be arguably called slightly goofy but his advocacy is top notch in my opinion.
Mr. Sidharth LuthraMs. Nitya Ramakrishnan
Mr. Sidharth Aggarwal
Mr. Tanveer Ahmed Mir

If you meant 15L then probably Rebecca John, Kapil Sibal, Mahesh Jethmalani or Pinky Anand.
