More AIBE results to be out in days but could take week to clear ‘withheld results’

All India Bar Exam (AIBE) candidates’ results for more test centres would be uploaded within two or three days, though it will take longer to announce grades of candidates’ whose results have been withheld.

A Bar Council of India (BCI) source with knowledge of the AIBE process said that the private contractor agency – a Noida IT company called ITES Horizon – has said that results for all test centres would be uploaded on the website within two or three days.

The results for some centres were first published last week Friday but a number of examinees have reported difficulties in accessing their results.

A number of test results were also not available and marked as ‘withheld’ on the official AIBE results website, although the BCI source could not confirm the exact number of such withheld results.

The website had stated that “if your result is ‘Result Withheld’ then it means your result is under consideration of the council”.

The BCI source explained that some results were withheld for a variety of reasons, including mismatching enrolment numbers, signatures, markings or cuts on answer sheets, as well as payment issues – some exam fees are believed to not yet have reached the BCI from the state bar councils.

The BCI chairman Manan Kumar Mishra was not reachable for comment.
