GLC alum Sherina Petit makes Norton Rose London partner

Sherina Petit: Maintaining London India connection
Norton Rose disputes of counsel Sherina Petit has been promoted to partnership at Norton Rose’s London office.

She is part of Norton Rose’s India-focused dispute resolution team, specialising particularly in arbitration in international arbitration involving Indian companies under the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration chamber, as well as UNCITRAL and other rules.

Norton Rose London partner Joe Tirado, who heads the international arbitration team, commented in an email: “Sherina's election to partnership further strengthens our dispute resolution capabilities, particularly in relation to India related disputes.”

Petit, who graduated from GLC Mumbai in 1998 followed by an LLM in King’s College London, started her career at Linklaters, followed by Shearman & Sterling where she became a senior associate in 2005.

In 2008 she spent four months on secondment in the Tata Group’s and Taj Hotels’ legal department, and joined Norton Rose in January 2009.

One year ago she was promoted to of counsel, and has now been made partner effective yesterday (1 May).
