TBC: Write a little about how mooting in college is organised.
The Moot Court Committee was established in the year 2008 but was shortly dissolved. The committee was reconstituted in the year 2010 with 10 members by Prof. V.S. Mani (Director, Law School) and Mr. Avinash Bhaghi (Presently- Assistant Professor, GNLU, Gandhinagar). Every year members and conveners are selected from amongst the students to serve in the committee.

The MCC's role is to facilitate and regulate mooting at the Seedling School of Law & Governance. The tasks involve planning, organizing and executing the Intra Moot Rounds, Subject Moots (as part of clinical legal education), Challenger Rounds and International Moot Court Competition.

The International Banking and Investment Law Moot attracts participants from all corners of India and beyond, like the National University of Singapore, winners of the inaugural edition.

Another major mandate of the committee is to constitute the Moot Team, a process which stretches over a span of 2 month and incorporates 2 rounds of mooting, culminating in ranking of those selected to represent the school at various national and international moots.

Furthermore, the MCC serves to develop future mooters, as well as an interest in mooting. In pursuance of this, the MCC follows a policy of encouraging participation in mooting from all batches, including the freshers.

Other initiatives involve introduction of a student coach and a liaison person for ensuring that all teams can perform to their full potential.
