National Law University, Delhi was founded in 2008 with Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh as the Vice-Chancellor and Prof. (Dr.) Ghanshyam Singh as Registrar.


The University is located in Sector-14, Dwarka, New Delhi. It is well connected by Metro and DTC. The office of the Intellectual Property Rights is just beside the campus.

The University conducts an entrance examination each year. The paper comprises of 150 questions of 1 mark each and is of 1.5 hours duration. Candidates are tested on General Knowledge, Mathematics, Legal Knowledge and Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and English.

Extra Curricular Activities


TBC: Write a little about how mooting in college is organised. Intra-moot court competitions are held to select teams to participate in various national and international moot court competitions. he NLUD team comprising of Mr. Hardeep Singh, Mr. Sameer Dawar and Mr. Paramvir Singh was ranked 3rd in the Ist International Air Law Moot Court Competition held on March 3-6, 2010 at NLUD Campus. Mr. Hardeep Singh was awarded as the best Oralist and awarded a scholarship by Ministry of Transport, The Netherlands for LL.M. Programme in the Air & Space Law at Laiden University, The Netherlands.

The NLUD team comprising of Mr. Aditya Sharma, Mr. Aayush Srivastava and Mr. Mohit Sharma reached the Quarter Finals of K.K. Luthra Memorial Moot Court Competition organized by Faculty of Law, University of Delhi from January 15-17, 2010.

The NLUD team comprising of Ms. Kunika, Mr. Varun Eknath and Mr. Mitul Jain represented the University and reached the Semi-Finals of the 4th Rajiv Pandey Memorial Moot Court Competition organized by Faculty of Law, University of Delhi on October 10th, 2009.

The NLUD team comprising of Mr. Purushottam Anand, Ms. Soumya Shekhar and Mr. Vikramaditya were runner-up in the All India Pt. Vasudeo Narain Mishra Memorial Moot Court Competition organized by Patna Law College from 8-10 July, 2009.

The NLUD team comprising of Mr. Hardeep Singh, Ms. Devna Arora and Mr. Mubashshshir Sarshar reached in the Semi Finals of the 12th M. M. Singhvi Memorial – Bar Council of India International Law Moot Court Competition – 2009 held at NLU, Jodhpur.

The NLUD team comprising of Mr. Hardeep Singh, Ms. Devna Arora and Mr. Siddharth Gargreached in the Semi Finals of the 14th Stetsons International Environmental Moot Court Competition – 2009 (North India Rounds) organised by the National Law Institute University held at Bhopal.
