The MPL tracks the progress of Indian law schools over more than 30 national and international moot court competitions.

The competition is currently in its second season, which is dubbed the MPL 2

The 2010-11 academic year MPL includes more than 50 moots and introduced a new tier 5 moot category since 2009-10.

The Mooting Premier League has developed new criteria for scoring moots for the 2010-11 season.

History

The Legally India Mooting Premier League (MPL) was started in 2009 by Legally India and GNLU Gandhinagar final year student Vinay Mishra.

The winner of the 2009-10 MPL was Nalsar Hyderabad, followed by NLSIU Bangalore and NUJS Kolkata.

The second season of the MPL started in September 2010.
