The GNLU International Moot Court Competition (GIMC) is the annual Moot Court Competition organized by Gujarat National Law University. The first edition of GIMC was organised in 2009 and it has been held annually ever since. Over the years, GIMC has seen participation of teams from various countries such as USA, Singapore, Bangladesh and Pakistan, apart from the widespread participation by the Indian law schools. The GIMC is usually held during the month of February each year.

As the name GIMC indicates, the Moot is completely organized by GNLU Gandhinagar. The major sponsors of the moot over the years have been World Trade Institute, Berne, Switzerland and the law firm, Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan.

GIMC happens annually in the city of Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Since 2013, it is hosted in the GNLU campus in Koba-Gandhinagar.

Eligibility for Participation[edit]

Teams consisting of students pursuing their graduate studies in Law from any University in the world can participate in GIMC. However, only one team per institution is allowed.

The theme of GIMC is International Trade Law and Public International Law.<ref>"World Trade Institute partners with Gujarat National Law University for Moot Court Competition"</ref> While in the initial editions, the forum was the International Court of Justice, in 2013 the problem had the teams arguing before a panel constituted by the WTO Dispute Settlement Body and the WTO format has been retained for 2014 as well.<ref>"GIMC 2011- Moot Problem"</ref>
