Finsec Law Advisors was established in July 2010 as a financial sector law firm which assists in areas of securities market regulations including in areas such as takeovers of listed companies, stock exchange markets, brokers, primary markets, listing agreement, mutual funds, private equity and FII.

The founder of the firm Sandeep Parekh, is a former head of legal affairs and enforcement departments of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and former faculty at IIM, Ahmedabad and has worked for a law firm in Delhi, Mumbai and Washington, D.C. Sandeep has an LL.M. (Securities & Fin Regs) degree from Georgetown University. He is admitted to practice law in New York and is a member of Mensa. He is a World Economic Forum “Young Global Leader”. and has been invited to speak at Davos. He writes a monthly column for the Economic Times.

Indrajit Mishra, a partner at the firm brings a decade of experience in private equity and foreign investments. Indrajit is also a qualified company secretary. Tejesh Chitlangi, a graduate of NLU, Jodhpur is a senior associate and brings experience in funds including FIIs, Venture Capital and mutual funds. Yash Bansal is an associate and graduate of NALSAR, Hydrabad.

The firm is backed by senior advisor to the firm, K D Zacharias, former legal head of RBI who provides his expertise and advice in the banking and non-banking financial space.

Lateral hires The firm welcomes applications from exceptional lawyers with 1+ year experience and competence in the financial sector who would like to work in a team in a professional environment.

Associates The firm hires entry level associate positions from those who have previously interned with the firm and limited numbers from campus recruitments.

Internship The firm welcomes internship applications from bright students from top law schools beginning mid Jan 2012. Credible demonstration of interest in financial regulations is useful.
