Anand & Anand established in 1979, is a specailised intellectual property(IP) law firm in the country. Some of its key clients include Microsoft Corporation, Louis Vuitton, Tata Group and Ford Motor Company.
The firm also organises the annual Raj Anand Moot Court Competition in order to increase awareness of intellectual property law. <ref> |12th Raj Anand Moot Court Competition </ref>
History
The practice was established in 1979 in continuation of the practice established by late RP Anand. In the intial years the work at the firm was confined to trademarks with a substantial focus on textile marks. Later NK Anand joined the practice in 1954 and was a pre-eminent arguing counsel in intellectual property before the Delhi High Court. In 1962 the second son Raj Anand joned the practice and made a mark on the trademark prosecution side.
