Background

History

Amity Law School Delhi was founded under the aegis of the Ritnand Balved Education Foundation (RBEF) in 1999. It is affiliated to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University of Delhi and has been approved by the Bar Council of India.

The Law School aims to provide excellence in legal education and produce quality lawyers in accordance with the Advocates Act, 1961. Students enrolled in the 5-year LLB Honours programme are fully equipped with the required theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of law to become full-fledged responsible members of the legal profession. The Law School has rapidly scaled the ladder of success and has been ranked among the top ten law schools in India for five years in a row (2006-2010)

Library and Reading Room

The law school has a spacious,automated library, with more than 15000 volumes covering more than 1100 titles and 70 journals and periodicals. It has been regularly subscribing to 51 journals and law reports relevant to the course curriculum and 19 weeklies and magazines and 8 newspapers. There is also provision for online research, both legal and non-legal through subscriptions to relevant databases.

IT Infrastructure

The law school has a fully equipped computer center, with more than 50 networked, internet enabled workstations. Scanning and printing facilities are also available to students. Furthermore, the campus is Wi-Fi enabled, giving students the freedom to carry on research and presentations anywhere on campus through their laptops.
