National Law Institute University (NLIU) Bhopal was established in 1998 by an enactment of the State Legislature of Madhya Pradesh in 1997. &lt;br /&gt;

[[Bhopal]], Madhya Pradesh. The campus is located in the lush green forest in the back waters of Kerwa Dam. The hillocks of Bhabdhada give sylvan surrounding to NLIU. &lt;br /&gt;

NLIU has hosted seven national moot court competitions in the last five  years. The list includes prestigious names like the 23rd All India Bar Council Moot Court Competition 2006, Justice R. K. Tankha  Memorial Moot Court Competition in 2005, 2007 and 2009, Stetson International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition (North Rounds) in 2008 and 2009.
