Recent Sastra Mooting Uproar

The recent uproar by the NALSAR and NLSIU, Bangalore on SASTRA NANI PALKHIVALA MOOT shows how law students have stooped to the level of cheap politicians. As an alumni and organizer of the event last year, I personally know what sincerity and dedication students show toward the successful organization of the event.

We as law students saw Institutions like, NALSAR and NLSIU, as institutions which sets benchmark for not only of legal education but also on organization of moots and other legal events. After all we were taught by a professor who graduated from NLSIU, who stood with us in organization of event.

But the allegations of students from these prestigious universities have proved that they are nothing but, bunch of misguided students, who think by way of flowery language can write or say anything.

It is high time law schools teach students how to conduct themselves and how to handle failure, I see these uproar as a reflection of elite attitude of student from elite institutions, or may be a sense of insecurity on seeing the massive growth of the university.

Be it anything, I dare the students who made the allegations to sit in one class of the faculty they accused and engage with him and debate on any topic of law for one hour, then they will understand who and what the professor's worth is, and they will indeed as a compliment learn humility, which is what is important for them at this juncture.
