As usual late in the class of the Contract, Professor with a smile on his face started looking at me and reminded the class that perfect example of the person who sets low personal standard and then consistently fails to achieve them. He reminded me with his voice, "kya chahiye tumko?"

I said in my mind in Late Dadamuni style, "Nahi Nahi Hume kuch nahi chahiye, Hum toh itna chahetey hai ki aap baarat ka swagat paan parag se kijiye!!". I said ,"Sorry sir got late, Bus late".

Professor - Standard of students in law has now going from bad to worse, no discipline , no study or no liking for the subject. Just read few Jabs/Mok notes and done for exams!

In between our studious Genious Venky shoots question to professor, "Sir with your due permission can i ask you question which i feel can clear doubt on the subject matter and can also help with long term perspective in field of Contract?"

Abey dhakan direct sawal puch , I murmured.

Professor - Yes, my pleasure to answer your question Venky!!

Venky -
I had made an offer to the other party. The other party accepted my offer. However, before the acceptance, which was sent by post, could reached me, I sent a letter to the other party revoking the said offer. The other party challenged my revocation of the offer, saying that the contract was completed. What is the correct legal position?

Professor - Good Question. Professor to me you genious can u thnk of any answer?

Me (with blank look) - No Sir.

Professor -
"Some drink from the fountain of knowledge; he only gargled." Venky! You tell what you think can be a possible solution for the same.

Venky - I think, I may be wrong but pardon me , I think that
As soon as the acceptance is posted, the acceptance is completed and contract stand concluded in terms of section 4 of the Indian Contact Act.

Professor - You are absolutely right.

Venky - You taught us so well that we get answers in our questions, thank u sir.

Professor -
It's hard to believe that this class has students who beat out 1,000,000 other sperm and had the audacity to study law. IQ of this class baring few has reached rock-bottom and has started to dig.

Class stunned with sudden outburst of the professor and then, the bell rang.
