Expectations of a law student: My journey into law

This is my first blog, hence one may find mistakes.

Life is full of dreams and aspirations. Aspirations which guides a person to work hard along with secondary support from beloved ones for the attainment of the aspiration.

But, unfortunately this is called a hypothetical situation.  In the real world, it does not proves to be true, because through aspirations one may get motivated to work hard for achieving the goal but there are found to be many hands producing hurdle in attaining aspirations. Moreover life and aspirations also depend upon the fate of a individual.

For a student like me, who had no intention to study law at all in the childhood days, but later when I was exposed to the opportunities available in the field of law, a seed of passion took place inside me for having career in law. The seed of passion turned into a small plant of enthusiasm for going into deep of the legal knowledge, which turned to be very helpful to me for selecting law as my career.

With growing plant of enthusiasm of small plant into a tree, I joined coaching classes for cracking the entrance exam with golden colors. The unfortunate thing over here was that I belong to a city, where no coaching center were found, hence I have to travel about 60 kms. and go to other city for my coaching classes and the good thing was my classes use to held only three days ago, hence it was not a burden. Moreover, travelling in the general compartment especially in summers with bag was really a very difficult task to perform though I had some aspirations and dreams, which helped to travelling in hot summers and work really very hard.

In my preparation period I had to make journey for several hours, some times coming home at 1:00 AM, without having dinner and totally pissed off. But the best thing which I remember the best is the motivation which I mother use to give and sometimes even help me to get out off mess. I did my test preparation along with several mocks and many such tests and clearing them with good marks. It was one of the factor, which motivated me to aspire for my dream law school, with which I felt in love within a very short span, the law school was so important to me that I was even ready to loose the top law schools. Hence I did my remaining six months preparation with an aspiration actually I any how wanted to get into the particular law school. The thing interested me so much that it motivated me to also look into other aspects of law as well, which helped me allot.

After an extensive hard work of a year, the day came when we had our entrance exam. As I said, sometimes it may happen that our fate may want to take us some where else. In a similar way, this time it happened with me. I entered into the test center with full of confidence and with blessings of my parents to start the test. Finally the most unfortunate thing happened with me, there was one section out of prescribed test areas and along with it there were several mistakes in the printing of answers. Though I managed some how to clear the test and came out of the test center. And now the only left with me was to wait for the results. Finally when results came, the  test score Are and the fact that my name was not there in the admission list was really very much unbelievable for me. Consequently lot of mess took place, but no remedy was served to aspirants like me.

But, fortunately it was my luck. I came across a university which was a recent conversion of a state law university to a NLU. I applied there and it was luck proved, I got the admission in and "NLU". After getting admission in the university, I was pretty happy and again the cycle of aspiration started.

In my early days things were quite difficult for me to understand, but within a span of time I learn that studying law was definitely not like a walk on piece of cake. Normally it is a general scenario, where people who belong to ordinary cities may feel inferior in front of aspirants from the metro cities  Also, after getting I came to know about the real world outside my city and especially dreams. In the outer world here is a lot of competition and for winning the competition  several things are required. For instance confidence, speaking skills and lots and tons of knowledge material. Moreover I saw the real face of a law field when I came to know that uncles and chachhas are very much necessary for a law student to have a secure job. And also many problems were faced by me like certain researching skills, internship application and attending certain competitions was a job which was very much necessary for getting good placements.

Hence, with the end of my first semester I learnt that the world of aspirations is completely different, while the real world reality is a bit harsher as well as with full of struggle. Therefore, an up-coming law student may have many aspirations, but s/he should also set mind for challenges to be faced in future.
