Assistant Manager – Operations

IDIA (Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access) is currently seeking applications for the position of ‘Assistant Manager-Operations’. Applicant will be responsible for organising and implementing project activities of the organisation.

 

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Help with various aspects of IDIA operation including sensitisation programmes of underprivileged students across India, training, supervising student volunteer teams, fund raising, and other such activities.Provide support to the Senior Managers and management in planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting the work done at the organisation.Assist with the implementation of effective advocacy and outreach strategies for the organisation.Facilitate organisation of events, activities and projects of the organisation.Contribute to research undertaken by the organisation in specific areas as required.Responsible for submitting activity reports to the management.Lead and motivate the State teams, and coordinate with volunteers and consultants in the project.Ensure close collaboration and coordination with other team members to guarantee smooth implementation of the activities of the organisation.Organise new and innovative ways to communicate and engage with the community.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed within the deadline.Take on any other reasonable duties related to your role as directed by the Senior Management.

 

Qualification: Strong written communication skills required. The applicant must have the ability and desire to be proactive and take initiative. The applicant must be someone who combines idealism (has a revolutionary zeal) with on the ground pragmatism, and will go beyond the call of duty and work around the clock to get the job done. Sincerity to the organisation and the ability to put in long hours is an absolute must.

 

Salary: Will be commensurate with skills and experience, and will be on par with similar positions in the non-profit sector.

 

Location: Anywhere in India is acceptable, but it would be ideal if person could be located in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, or Kolkata.
