DSK Legal advised Kancor Ingredients in selling a majority stake to French company Mane SA, Switzerland which was advised by Crawford Bayley.

DSK managing partner Anand Desai with partner Ajay Shaw and senior associates Pragya Dhamija and Aditee Mohta acted for Kancor.

Crawford partner Sanjay Asher acted for Mane, which is an associate of V Mane Fils in France. Asher was assisted by principal associate Bhumika Batra and associates Sachita Shetty and Sanskriti Relekar.

The domestic food and beverages supplier Kancor entered into a joint venture with V Mane to develop export products, reported the Business Standard.

On the repeat investor side, DSK partner Narendra Dingankar and associate Mayank Mehta acted for India Value Fund and Desai & Diwanji partner Siddharth Mody and associates Ashraf Lala, Manav Shah and Ankesh Jain acted for Olympus.

DM Healthcare raised a further $65m from Olympus and IVF, reported the Economic Times.

The same firms had also acted on the initial $100m investment in 2012, as reported by Legally India at the time.

DSK Legal advised Fortune 500 companies’ analytics provider Fractal Analytics in the Rs 150 crore ($25m) cash injection by private equity (PE) firm TA Associates, which was advised by Nishith Desai Associates (NDA) and Goodwin Procter.

PE firms invested about $2.3bn across 82 deals in this year’s second quarter, increasing by around 17.7% from last year in the same quarter when $1.98bn were invested across 114 transactions, according to the Business Standard.
