T&T Law founder Rohit Tandon lost his appeal for bail in the Supreme Court on Friday, and continues to be in jail for almost a year now for alleged money laundering.

The Delhi high court has agreed to hear advocate _Deepak Khosla_’s appeal for video recording of all court proceedings in the high court, after it had initially dismissed the plea in August 2011 and again in July 2017 with Rs 20,000 costs that Khosla said he would not be paying.

T&T Law founding partner Rohit Tandon, now in jail for nearly a year in one of the most high-profile arrests carried out in the wake of the government's demonetisation drive in 2015, is now awaiting a final order of the Supreme Court over his bail plea in the money laundering case against him.

The Supreme Court’s collegium of Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra and the next senior-most judges, justices J Chelameswar, Ranjan Gogoi, Madan B Lokur and Kurian Joseph, have begun to post recommendations for elevations and other business on a new ‘resolutions of the collegium’ section of its website according to minutes dated 3 October.

"The Supreme Court on Monday criticised the bar association of the Gurgaon district courts for passing a resolution calling upon lawyers to not defend the accused in the murder of a sevenyear-old student at Ryan International School. A three-judge bench, led by Chief Justice Dipak Misra, warned local lawyers against preventing the advocates of the accused from appearing in court and defending them," reported the Economic Times.

Justice Dipak Misra took oath today as the 45th Chief Justice of India (CJI), succeeding CJI JS Khehar. Misra's suitability for India's highest judicial office was questioned before CJI Khehar and in the media, since last year when his name surfaced in allegations of misrepresentation from 1979.

"After fighting for over three decades for a share in ancestral properties, three branches of the Singhania family told the Supreme Court on Wednesday that they had amicably settled the dispute by honouring and implementing the decision of the arbitrator who had in 2008 divided the assets in three parts.

Justice Misra’s frustration with the case, however, was particularly linked to the rampant abuse of a procedural provision.
