French outsourcing firm Teleperformance has bought business process solutions company Intelenet for $1bn from Blackstone, in a transaction that had been announced in June, according to reports.
Platinum Partners acted as Indian counsel for Mumbai-headquartered Intelenet, which had been founded in 2000 and had $449m revenues in the 2017-18 financial year. The firm’s team was led by partner Ankit Majmudar.
J Sagar Associates (JSA) advised French outsourcing company Teleperformance SE led by partner Tony Verghese, senior associates Arjun Krishnamoorthy and Anup Vijay Kulkarni, associates Kirti Singh and Soorya Pradeep and assistant company secretary AS Nagarjun. Competition law partners Amitabh Kumar and Vaibhav Choukse, senior associate Ela Bali and associate Akansha Mehta assisted with the CCI approval for this transaction.

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett acted for Blackstone internationally.
In 2011, Wadia Ghandy had acted for Intelenet on Blackstone’s then-exit from the BPO.
