JSA, Rajaram on Ola’s $25m buy of ticketing app Ridlr

Cab hailing major Ola has acquired Mumbai based ticketing and commuting app, Ridlr for an estimated Rs 163 crores (around $25m) as a move to digitize public transportation, reported The Economic Times. This would also mark as the second major acquisition by Ola, after the buy of Foodpanda for an approximate $50m in December 2017.

Rajaram Legal acted as the legal advisor to Ridlr led by partner Archana Rajaram, senior associate Prasad Subramanyan and associate Aakanksha Pagnis.

J Sagar Associates (JSA) acted for Ola Cabs with a team led by partners Vivek K Chandy and Archana Tewary and senior associate Sindhu Nayak, and associate Astha Srivastava.

Founded in 2012 by Brijraj Vaghani, Mumbai-based Ridlr enables users to search and book public transport options on mobile phones. Post the acquisition, Ridlr will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ola brand owner ANI Technologies.
