CAM acts on Greaves Cotton’s Ampere majority buy in e-rickshaw firm Bestway for $1m (Jul ‘20)

Coimbatore-based Ampere Vehicles, a wholly-owned electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton, on Monday announced the acquisition of 74% stake in Noida-based Bestway Agencies Pvt Ltd (BAPL) which sells e-rickshaws under the popular ELE brand.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised and assisted Ampere Vehicles in legal due diligence, structuring the transaction, negotiation, and documentation of the deal. They were led by their general corporate team comprising partner Saurya Bhattacharya, with support from senior associate Bharath Sridhar, associate Vivek Raval, and associate Sunanda Sahoo.
