Khaitan acts on India leg of US VFX studios acquisition

Framestore, whose work won VFX Oscars for ‘Gravity’ and ‘Blade Runner 2049’, gains the former Deluxe creative services companies. In a deal that alters the global visual effects and postproduction landscape, London-headquartered Framestore — the visual effects house whose work on Gravity and Blade Runner 2049 won VFX Oscars — in partnership with Aleph Capital and Crestview Partners, announced the acquisition of postproduction banner Company 3, VFX business Method and their sister companies.

Khaitan & Co advised Deluxe Entertainment Services Group Inc on the India leg of the deal led by a core team of partner Ashwin Bishnoi, partner Monika Srivastava, partner Ritu Shaktawat, principal associate Nimisha Trehan, senior associate Sneh Shah and associate Deeksha Agarwalla.
