IndusLaw acts for Urban Ladder on $24.4m sale to Reliance Retail with Cyril Amarchand (+Algo)

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries’ retail arm Reliance Retail Ventures has bought a 96 per cent stake in online furniture retailer Urban Ladder for Rs 182.12 crore ($24.4 million), in an attempt to expand its presence in India’s online retail market.

IndusLaw advised Urban Ladder Home Decor Solutions Private Limited and its promoters Ashish Goel and Rajiv Srivatsa, led by a team of partner Anindya Ghosh, principal associate Aakash Dasgupta and associate Jaidrath Zaveri.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted for Reliance Retail Limited, including a team of partner Aishwarya K and associate Surbhi Ajitsaria.

Algo Legal acted for the existing investors in the company, led by a team including lawyers Ankit Guha, Lalu John Philip, Utsav Gandhi and Srushti Shanbhag.
