L&L acts for ArcelorMittal on $353.9m Odisha Slurry insolvency buy

ArcelorMittal India Private Limited acquired Odisha Slurry Pipeline Infrastructure Limited through the corporate insolvency resolution process conducted under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has approved a Rs 2,359-crore bid of ArcelorMittal India for debt-ridden Odisha Slurry Pipeline Infrastructure Ltd (OSPIL).

L&L Partners advised ArcelorMittal India Private Limited led by a team of senior partner Mohit Saraf, the late partner Sameen Vyas, partner Bikash Jhawar, who were assisted by managing associate Avinash Subramanian, and associates Vishrut Kansal, Maathangi Hariharan, Anushka Bajpai, Ayushi Chaudhary and Sakshi Mishra. The litigation team was led by partner Abhishek Swaroop and was assisted by senior associate Naman Singh Bagga.
