CAM acts on India leg of Equistone acquisition of Moody’s analytics arm

UK mid-market private equity firm Equistone Partners Europe has struck a deal to acquire the knowledge services arm of Moody’s.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas handled the India leg of the deal for Equistone Partners Europe led by a team of managing partner Cyril Shroff and included partners Gautam Gandotra, Daksha Baxi, Pranav Sharma, Avaantika Kakkar, Abhishek Sharma, Arun Prabhu on various aspects of the deal.

Update 19 September 2019: Desai & Diwanji advised Moody’s led by a team including partner Natasha Treasurywala from the Mumbai office and partner Rachna Jain from Gurgaon with senior associate Devika Singh and associate Garvita Mehrotra.

UK firm Slaughter and May also advised Moodys as primary transaction counsel.

Update 21 November 2019: Indian Law Partners (ILP) advised offshore lenders to Equistone Partners led by a team including partner Gopika Pant and partner Vineet Gupta.
