RMLNLU Lucknow, the convenor of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2015, will conduct it online, reported the Times of India.

Every step in the exam from filling the examination form to submitting the fee will be online, according to the resolution of the CLAT core committee meeting held on Saturday. The fee for taking the CLAT remains the same as last year.

The forms will be available online from 1 January 2015 until 31 March. An online testing protocol, orientation on how to appear for the exam and, as reported last week, and trained invigilators for support will be available to the examinees. LLM-admission candidates will have to attempt an entirely objective-type question paper as opposed to last year when it had some subjective questions as well.

This year DNLU, AP joins CLAT as the 16th NLU under its umbrella. CLAT will be conducted in 28 cities in 2015, which is right more than in 2014. RMLNLU is yet to finalise on the agency to conduct the exam, from among eight incumbents five of whom have given their presentations to the CLAT 2015 convenor.

Results for the 2014 Common Law Admissions Test (CLAT) will only be released within a week, with convenor GNLU Gandhinagar having to manually cross check all 33,491 answer sheets, CLAT committee member and NUJS Kolkata registrar Surajit Mukhopadhyay told the Times of India.

GNLU director Bimal Patel, breaking his long media silence on the debacle to the TOI, placed the blame squarely on the barcode sticker system attached to OMR answer sheets: "The concept of affixing the candidate sticker and the barcode was introduced to evaluate the OMR sheet without revealing candidate's details. The reconciliation will be done by opening the concealed section containing the candidate sticker and the details filled in by the candidates."

The Common Law Admissions Test (CLAT) held by GNLU Gandhinagar has seen the withdrawak of the results under further notice, only a few hours after applicants started alleging yesterday, as reported by Legally India, that major mistakes were made in the grading of many exam papers.

The candidates are required to keep checking their LOGIN ACCOUNT regularly so that they can fill-in the preferences of the NLUs at appropriate time and also get the updated information about the CLAT in order to complete the formalities, if any, from their end. Any clarification may please be sent at . CLAT Helpdesk will answer to the query within 48 hours.
