In 2003 Indian mooting reached new heights as a young team from NUJS Kolkata won the prestigious Willem C Vis Moot at Vienna. NUJS was a nascent law school then and Mithun V Thanks helps us recollect old memories as he shares thoughts on the role of mooting in building character and confidence.

In 1999 NLSIU Bangalore student Sapna Khajuria was part of the very first Indian law school team to win the so-called World Cup of Mooting. But she swears that mooting has meant more to her successful career before and after graduation than just CV points.

NUJS Kolkata, NLU Delhi, ILS Pune and Nalsar Hyderabad, which represented India at the world rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot, made the country proud with two teams breaking into the last sixteen, six speakers finishing in the top 100 oralists and three teams winning top memorandum awards.

Meanwhile Symbiosis, Pune won its first moot this season at the GH Raisoni Moot over its neighbouring college.
