Crawford Bayley and Amarchand Mangaldas have been duking it out in the Bombay High Court on behalf of expelled Indian Premier League (IPL) team Rajasthan Royals and the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) respectively, with a ruling on an arbitrator’s interim relief expected this week.

The Royals and its owners are represented by a Crawford Bayley team led by senior partner R A Shah.

He is assisted by senior associates Abhay Jadeja, Krishna Venkat and Preety Singh, as well as associates Vaibhav Singh, Palecanda Chinnappa and Gaurav Rohra.

Amarchand Mangaldas is appearing for the BCCI with litigation partner Sharad Matkar leading the team from the firm’s Lentin Chambers litigation office in Fort, assisting BCCI counsel KC Sundaram.

Crawford Bayley instructed senior counsel Janak Dwarkadas and a number of other advocates for the Rajasthan Royals.

The Bombay High Court will hear the matter again today, in which the BCCI is challenging a stay order in a Royals-BCCI arbitration.
