Senior associates Akash Mukherjee and Savitha BR will be corporate partners in Bangalore while Sameena Chatpathy will be a partner in the firm’s corporate practice at Chennai, effective 1 January 2014.
Mukherjee joined the firm in October 2010 with an experience of six years, Savitha joined in January 2010 with four years of previous experience, while Chatpathy joined in January 2007 right after graduating as a lawyer.
Universal Legal partner Kavitha Vijay told Legally India that the partnerships were part of the firm’s general round of promotions, the last of which happened in 2010. She said that the firm has a total of nine partners.
