IFL 2015's participants were 20 law firms and in house legal teams: Star TV and Mahindra & Mahindra, AZB & Partners, J Sagar Associates, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Fortitude law Associates, Economic Law Practices, Lakshmikumaran Sridharan, Juris Corp, Khaitan & Co., Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Bharucha and Partners, Desai Diwanji, Wadia Ghandy, Platinum, K Law, Vahura and Trilegal.

The entry fee from the participants will be used by IDIA for funding the education of its scholars - underprivileged school students who want to study undergraduate law courses.

On-the-ground

The teams were divided into four groups of five teams each. The 40 IFL matches this season included four matches per day, per team. Day one saw league matches based on the results of which teams were segregated into the  'Cup' and 'Plate' categories for the knockout matches.
The top two teams in each group moved to the Cup championships and the bottom three moved to the Plate championships. Of the 8 teams that competed for the cup in the quarterfinals, the losers also moved down to the Plate championships.

IDIA commented in an email: "The final was a twenty minute match, a exciting and close match with both teams on their toes despite a very hectic two days of continous games. There were many chances for both team but unfortunately it was still a 0-0 at the end of regulation time. The game moved on to a penalty shoot outs. Each team had three penalties. Star TV’s goalkeeper (Srinivasan Saimani) won the match for them with his superb save by putting his face on the line of the ball to take the Cup. The final scores were 3-1 in favour of  Star TV."

As it is said- "work hard, party harder", the event ended with an after-party "IFL Night" in which all the participants and IDIA members, leaders enjoyed to the full and winners were felicitated with loud cheers. The after-party was graced by the presence of Mr. Pramod Rao, Mrs. Sweta Rao, Mr. Murli Neelakantan and Mr. Ritvik Lukose, to name a few of the renowned names in the legal fraternity. Listening to experiences of IDIA scholars in the party further inspired the cause behind the IDIA Football League.
