Remembering Laliya Mukherjee

Laliya Mukherjee
Laliya Mukherjee
Luthra & Luthra staff are mourning the loss of senior litigation lawyer Laliya Mukherjee who passed away on 1 May.

All offices observed a two-minute silence as colleagues remembered their late co-worker and friend.

Laliya Mukherjee joined the firm in the 1990s and years later was just as dedicated and conscientious, enthusiastic and determined towards her work, said Luthra & Luthra founder and managing partner Rajiv Luthra.

He said he remembered her with much admiration for her "fighter yet gentle and sensitive attitude".

"Laliya battled for life till the end like a true soldier, however, since God had another plan for her, she bowed out, gracefully, leaving behind memories for us, which will help us to always remember her as the loving and generous soul that she was," he said.

"Our loss is huge - we will miss Laliya tremendously and she will always hold a very special place in all of our hearts and continue to remain amidst us, because, to live in hearts we leave behind is not to die - we all pray that Laliya finds eternal rest."
